Hemodynamix has been nominated by Justus Liebig University Giessen for the Hessen Ideen Competition 2026, which recognizes the best startup ideas from universities in Hesse.
About the Hessen Ideen Competition
The Hessen Ideen Wettbewerb has been running since 2016 and gives startup projects from universities across Hesse a state-wide stage to present their ideas. Each year, the most innovative founding ideas from Hessian universities compete against one another.
The competition’s goals reach beyond naming a winner. It aims to strengthen the founding culture at universities, connect the institutions more closely with one another, support the ideas emerging from their members, and carry those ideas beyond the borders of the state. For the founders themselves, it is meant as an impulse to develop an idea further and bring it into practice.
Being nominated by our university means our idea was put forward as one of Giessen’s contributions to that field.
Hemodynamix
Hemodynamix wants to make the assessment of heart function easier and more accurate. Hospitals already record cardiac pressure curves during many routine procedures, but the information those curves contain is largely underused today. Extracting it precisely usually requires special catheters that are costly, complex, and rarely used in practice.
Our software analyzes pressure data from routine examinations using advanced algorithms, with no additional procedures, equipment, or workload. The aim is to help patients with heart and lung conditions such as pulmonary hypertension by assessing disease and identifying risks earlier, and to make key cardiovascular information simpler, cheaper, and more widely available.
Early versions of the software have already been developed and scientifically evaluated.
