Yesterday in Frankfurt, Hemodynamix was awarded first place at the Hessen Ideen Wettbewerb 2026. We competed against eleven outstanding finalist teams from universities across Hesse, and we come away from the evening proud, grateful, and more motivated than ever.
Unlocking data that already exists
Cardiac pressure curves are recorded during many routine procedures, yet most of what they reveal about heart function goes unused. Hemodynamix changes that. Our software analyzes this existing data with advanced algorithms, with no extra catheters and no additional workload for clinical teams.
Our prototype is already in use in clinical studies, where it systematically evaluates ventricular pressure curves and shows what becomes possible when routine clinical data is put to full use.

This recognition would not have been possible without the people and institutions behind us. We want to thank Hessen Ideen and the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Arts and Culture (HMWK) for creating a platform that brings research-based startup ideas into the spotlight, and the team at ECM, the startup center of JLU, for encouraging us to compete in the first place. Our thanks also go to the jury for their time, their sharp questions, and their trust in our idea.

What comes next
With this milestone behind us, our focus is clear: commercialization. We are moving from a validated research prototype toward a product that can be used in everyday clinical practice.
We know this path is not easy. MedTech is among the most demanding fields for startups. Certification under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR), FDA clearance for the US market, robust clinical validation, quality management systems, long hospital sales cycles, and questions of reimbursement all require time, expertise, and capital. Many promising innovations never make it past these hurdles.
We are preparing for exactly these challenges by building on our strong clinical and scientific foundation, planning the regulatory pathway early, and growing a team and network that can carry Hemodynamix from the lab into the clinic.
